Bastrop Fire Alert

On 9/4/11, fire spread in Bastrop County communities resulting in significant personal damage for residents and businesses near and in the Bastrop city limits. Although no damage has been sustained to the Bluebonnet Trails property, many of our staff and clients have lost property. Our hearts go out to those with losses. A list of needs will be identified and shared by LaDonna Boyd, Center Director. Pam Fuchik is our lead in working with this crisis event. Contract Position

Respite

Description of Service

Provides planned or emergency short-term relief to the primary caregiver of persons with developmental disabilities. Services are provided in the home of the contractor or the person with developmental disabilities.

Rate of Payment

$10.00/hour for up to 10 hours; $100/day for 10 hours or more.

Areas to be Served

Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Lee and Williamson Counties.

Eligibility Requirements

At least 18 years of age; high school diploma/GED. If services are provided in contractor’s home, must have homeowner’s insurance and be subject to an inspection of the home. Current auto liability insurance required. Must have experience providing services to persons with developmental disabilities. Must pass background screening.

Contract Position

Supported Home Living/Community Supports

Description of Service

Direct personal assistance with activities of daily living for adults with developmental disabilities. Includes providing transportation and assisting with training in life skills in the consumer’s home and in the community.

Rate of Payment

$16.00/hour individual service; $19.00/hr group service

Areas to be Served

Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Lee Counties and Williamson County

Eligibility Requirements

At least 18 years of age; high school diploma/GED; copy of DPS driving record and proof of auto liability insurance. Experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Must use own car and provide transportation for the consumer. Current auto liability insurance required. Must pass background check.
